The new protective cover encases the device, enabling it to better withstand mechanical stress. Customers can remove and reattach it—for example, to clean the device. It does not interfere with operation and comes pre-installed on the thermometer. The cover is also available separately as the AG 751 for customers wishing to retrofit their units
